Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

In recent years, plagues, wars, earthquakes and other disasters have become more and more serious. Many people are afraid and like to read this verse, for this verse can increase their faith. But some people with heart and spirit will think: God is our refuge; this is absolutely sure. So how does God save people from disasters? How can we enter the refuge?

To understand these questions, we must understand: What is God’s intention behind great disasters? In fact, the occurrence of these disasters is the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Lord’s return. Many devout people have realized that the Lord probably has returned, and many are witnessing that the Lord Jesus has already returned to the flesh. He has come to the world, expressed all the truths that can save mankind, and performed the work of judgment beginning from the house of God to cleanse and save mankind from sin so that we can survive disasters and enter a beautiful destination. It can be seen that God uses disasters to remind those with heart and spirit to seek and investigate His work in the last days, welcome the Lord’s return, and accept God’s salvation in the last days. So how should we welcome the Lord’s return?

The Lord Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears My voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20). “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). In Revelation, it is prophesied many times, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2, 3).

Just as a paragraph says, “Since we are searching for the footprints of God, it behooves us to search for God’s will, for the words of God, for His utterances—because wherever there are new words spoken by God, the voice of God is there, and wherever there are the footsteps of God, God’s deeds are there. Wherever there is the expression of God, there God appears, and wherever God appears, there the truth, the way, and the life exist. In seeking God’s footprints, you have ignored the words ‘God is the truth, the way, and the life.’ And so, many people, even when they receive the truth, do not believe that they have found God’s footprints, and still less do they acknowledge the appearance of God. What a grave mistake!”. from this show us the way to welcome the Lord’s return—focusing on seeking to listen to God’s voice. When we hear someone testify that the Lord Jesus has returned and expressed words, we should be like wise virgins and actively seek to hear God’s voice. Once we recognize God’s voice from the returned Lord’s words, we must accept and obey. This is welcoming the Lord’s return. Then we’ll have the opportunity to enter the refuge and gain God’s protection in the midst of disasters.
